The insolvency proceedings of ICODEX Software AG opened in summer 2007 are completed. The company will continue its business in a seamless transition as a wholly owned subsidiary of BCC Unternehmensberatung GmbH.
Due to the support of the new owner BCC in terms of liquidity and management ICODEX’ business operations continued during the past month. The infrastructure specialist BCC undertook the further development of the Notes Client Management unit (product ClientGenie) and brought a new version to market with great success. Ongoing projects within the Business Process Management unit (product Comm&Work) proceeded without impairments and new projects were obtained. Optimized internal processes in project management and controlling as well as the controlled recapitalization of the company made ICODEX shaping up well for the future.
As of April 1, 2008 the business operations will continue in a new founded subsidiary company of BCC under the name ICODEX Software GmbH. The close cooperation of both companies with different strengths look set to achieve synergies, e.g. in management, consolidated customer base and the locations Frankfurt and Vienna. BCC’s know-how with IBM Lotus portfolio and ICODEX’ expertise in Eclipse development platform together form an excellent basis for the future of Comm&Work. So, the integration with IBM Websphere Portal and further development as a Lotus Notes 8 composite application are high on the agenda.
Olaf Boerner, CEO of BCC and ICODEX, explains the future course of the company as follows: “The Comm&Work solution is well-established in leading enterprises like Vattenfall or Sixt. ICODEX Comm&Work provides organizations with a comprehensive integration platform for business processes and build on the future technologies Eclipse/J2EE which are important for BCC too."
